Real User Monitoring
Site24x7 Real User Monitoring (RUM) gives you insight into application performance of real users by analyzing end-user application performance from the perspective of browser, platform, geography, ISP and more. RUM provides deep insight into key performance metrics right from the initiation of the URL until the request is served back to the browser all of which help developers tailor applications to be more fluid to end users.
Real User Monitoring Architecture
RUM is pretty simple of use, all the users need to do it simply generate a small JavaScript snippet and install it in the header or footer part of the HTML code of the web application that needs to be tracked. From there on, all the performance data would be captured and presented in a single Site24x7 console. Once users access the applications via various browsers from different platforms and devices, the browsers capture and send application performance metrics over the internet via a one-way HTTPS to the RUM data Center. The data collectors and app servers with-in the RUM datacenter interact via a queue. The web servers located in the Site24x7 primary datacenter (PDC) interact with the app servers which in-turn communicates with the big data, and from there on, all the performance data is captured and represented in a single Site24x7 console.
